#EaglesDevotional - THE ROLE OF TWO IN PRAYER
“Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matt. 18: 18)
Jesus said whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. The Amplified Version of the Holy Scriptures has it that whatever you allow on earth is allowed in heaven. If you disallowed it on earth, it is disallowed.
Did you know that this Scripture is about you? It is about what you can do with prayer. The next verse takes you to another level. It says, “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 18:19)
You cannot tackle some problems, difficulties, and situations alone. You need help. Even in prayer! In verse 18, it was anything that only you allow on earth that shall be allowed. But In verse 19, Jesus said if two of you would agree on earth concerning an issue, God would do it.
So Jesus said, “If two”! What it means is that if you bind it and it refuses to be bound, and if you loose it and it refuses to be loosed, find someone to help you out. A good christian brother or sister would do. If you love and trust the person, tell the person what the problem is. But if you don't feel comfortable, just tell the person to pray with you.
Today, God will send you the person that will stand with you in prayer. And when you pray together, whatever you agree on, God will do for you.
